In brief

In brief

Response to peer commentary on staged tubularized autograft repair (STAG) for proximal hypospadias. Authors clarify that glanular dehiscence correlates more with glanular size than fixation technique, while confirming use of recommended technical refinements in their practice.

Thank you for the valuable comments and suggestions. We strongly believe that glanular dehiscence is more related to glanular size rather than to the fixation of the glans and catheter to abdominal wall. Yet, we support the catheter dorsally by the traction glanular stitch which is rolled around the catheter to prevent any pressure on suture lines however, glanular dehiscence still happens. All the important fine remarks stated by the authors to improve the technique are used in our practice repairing proximal cases of hypospadias.
