Gastric antral vascular ectasia in portal hypertensive children: Endoscopic band ligation versus argon plasma coagulation

Prospective study comparing endoscopic band ligation (EBL) versus argon plasma coagulation (APC) for treating gastric antral vascular ectasia in 40 children with portal hypertension and recurrent GI bleeding. EBL required significantly fewer treatment sessions for complete lesion ablation compared to APC, suggesting superior efficacy in this pediatric population.
