Abstract

We have read with great interest the article by Donati et al. [1]. To our knowledge, this is the first study comparing different stabilization methods of pectus excavatum implants, including lateral bridges. The authors have shown a significant decrease in the implant dislocation rate as they shifted from suturing the bars to the ribs (8.8%) to using lateral stabilizers (4.8%), and finally, to lateral bridges with a 0% dislocation rate (p
