Evaluation of Post-neonatal Intensive Care Unit Home Irrigations Prior to Pull-through: Implications for Hirschsprung Disease Management

This study evaluates the safety of delaying definitive pull-through surgery for Hirschsprung disease until after NICU discharge, using home irrigations for bowel decompression as a bridge strategy. The research examines whether this approach increases risk of Hirschsprung-associated enterocolitis compared to immediate neonatal reconstruction.
