Letter to the Editor in Response to: Complete Resection of Necrotic Bowel Improves Survival in NEC

This letter responds to research demonstrating improved survival rates when surgeons completely resect necrotic bowel in neonates with surgical necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). The original study analyzed 44 cases where complete resection was associated with better outcomes compared to leaving necrotic tissue in situ, with most patients requiring ostomy creation.
