This correspondence responds to comments on research examining mortality in very low birth weight (VLBW) neonates with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). The authors acknowledge the need for further investigation to address the extremely high mortality rate in this vulnerable population where prematurity compounds CDH management challenges.
