Laryngeal stenosis in children: Types, grades and treatment strategies

Retrospective study of 78 children with laryngeal stenosis (84.6% acquired, mostly post-intubation) found that 91% achieved good outcomes with endoscopic or surgical treatment, with 79.4% decannulation rate. Endoscopic approaches work well for low-grade immature stenosis, while reconstructive surgery shows high success in appropriately selected severe cases.
