Present state of intestinal transplantation in Japan

This Japanese registry study reports outcomes of 42 intestinal transplantations performed through 2022, predominantly in pediatric patients with intestinal failure. Results show 10-year survival of 59%, with 90% achieving complete independence from parenteral nutrition and excellent quality of life post-transplant.
