Incidence, predictors and outcomes of redo pancreatectomy in infants with congenital hyperinsulinism: a 16-year tertiary center experience

This 16-year retrospective study of 58 pediatric CHI patients found that 17% required redo pancreatectomy for persistent hypoglycemia, with positive family history being a significant predictor. More aggressive initial resection (98% vs 95%) reduced reoperation risk but increased diabetes incidence to 40% in the redo group.
