Surgical approach to penile reconstruction for shaft skin excision from circumcision

This retrospective study of 12 patients examines reconstructive techniques for severe penile shaft skin loss following circumcision, with Mogen clamp identified as the highest-risk device. Two approaches are compared: full thickness skin grafts and tissue expanders, with tissue expanders preferred when sufficient residual skin exists to avoid donor site morbidity while achieving acceptable cosmetic and functional outcomes.
