Operative techniques and long-term outcomes of hypospadias repair in the absence of preputial skin after neonatal circumcision

This 19-year retrospective study of 69 patients found that hypospadias repair after neonatal circumcision carries a 32% reoperation rate, with ventral curvature and proximal defects being significant risk factors. The findings strongly support deferring circumcision in newborns with hypospadias to preserve preputial tissue for reconstruction.
