Selection of operative approach in children with Currarino syndrome

This retrospective study of 26 children with Currarino syndrome evaluates surgical approach selection based on anorectal malformation type. Standard and limited posterior sagittal approaches were most common for perineal fistulae, while anterior sagittal or limited posterior approaches were preferred for vestibular fistulae, achieving mean Rintala scores of 16.74.
