Technical Outcomes in Pediatric Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography: Data from an International Collaborative

Prospective multicenter study of 1,124 pediatric ERCPs across 15 centers demonstrates 90.5% technical success rate with biliary procedures showing higher success than pancreatic cannulation. Post-ERCP pancreatitis occurred in 5% of cases, with specific risk factors identified for adverse events in children under 3 years and those with native papilla anatomy.
