Child Migrant Health: The Role of Pediatric Surgery in the Migrants' Route across Balkan Countries to North-West Europe

This retrospective study examined surgical conditions in 47 migrant children treated at Balkan hospitals during their journey to North-West Europe (2016-2018). Trauma was the predominant cause of morbidity, with isolated fractures and head injuries being most common, followed by polytrauma in five cases resulting in one fatality.
