Parent-Reported Health-Related Quality of Life of Pediatric Burn Patients 5 to 7 Years after Burn Injuries: A Multicenter Study

Dutch multicenter study tracking 130 pediatric burn patients 5-7 years post-injury found that while 76% reported no long-term quality of life problems, children with severe burns (>10% TBSA) and those requiring surgery experienced significantly more issues, particularly anxiety and depression. Full-thickness burns and number of surgeries predicted worse outcomes.
