Relationship between the expression levels of CD4+ T cells, IL-6, IL-8 and IL-33 in the liver of biliary atresia and postoperative cholangitis, operative age and early jaundice clearance

Study of 45 jaundice cases demonstrates elevated CD4+ T cells, IL-6, IL-8, and IL-33 in biliary atresia liver tissue correlate with postoperative cholangitis risk and predict early jaundice clearance rates. Findings suggest these inflammatory markers may serve as prognostic biomarkers, though liver inflammation degree showed no correlation with operative age.
