Comparing open and thoracoscopy approach for the treatment of pulmonary sequestration in children

Retrospective comparison of 57 pediatric pulmonary sequestration cases demonstrates thoracoscopic approach offers significant advantages over open surgery, including reduced blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and fewer complications, despite longer operative times. All but one thoracoscopic case completed successfully with superior recovery outcomes at follow-up.
