Comparison of splenic vessel preserving distal pancreatectomy and the Warshaw technique for solid pseudopapillary neoplasm in children

Retrospective study of 28 pediatric patients with solid pseudopapillary neoplasms comparing splenic vessel preservation versus Warshaw technique for spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy. Both approaches showed similar complication rates and long-term outcomes, suggesting Warshaw technique is a safe alternative when vessel preservation is technically difficult.
