Inhibiting Interleukin-6/Signal Transducers and Activators of Transduction-3/Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1α Signaling Pathway Suppressed the Growth of Infantile Hemangioma

This research identifies elevated IL-6 levels in infantile hemangioma patients and demonstrates that inhibiting the IL-6/STAT3/HIF-1α signaling pathway suppresses hemangioma growth. Using siRNA knockdown and mouse models, the study shows IL-6 inhibitors reduce tumor cell viability and migration, suggesting a potential targeted therapy approach for this common pediatric vascular tumor.
