Gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase has different efficacy on biliary atresia diagnosis in different hospital patient groups: an application of machine learning approach

This study uses machine learning to demonstrate that GGT's diagnostic accuracy for biliary atresia varies significantly across patient subgroups defined by hemoglobin levels and gallbladder filling status. Clinicians should interpret GGT results cautiously in subgroups with lower diagnostic efficacy, particularly when hemoglobin exceeds 105 g/L.
