Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on congenital diaphragmatic hernia patients: a single-center retrospective study

This retrospective study examines CDH treatment outcomes during COVID-19, comparing 41 pandemic-era cases with 33 pre-pandemic controls. Despite longer hospital stays and increased nosocomial infections, survival and recurrence rates remained comparable, demonstrating that appropriate screening and protective measures enable safe surgical management of CDH patients during the pandemic.
