Outcomes Analyses of Pediatric Acute Liver Failure Subjects Listed for Liver Transplantation

This SRTR database analysis of 397 pediatric acute liver failure patients listed for transplant (2002-2015) reveals significantly worse waitlist and post-transplant survival compared to non-PALF patients, with two-thirds having indeterminate etiology. Living-donor transplants showed equivalent outcomes to deceased-donor transplants despite the urgency of PALF cases.
