THE IMPACT OF LOW RECIPIENT WEIGHT [≤ 7Kg] ON LONG-TERM OUTCOMES IN 1078 PEDIATRIC LIVING DONOR LIVER TRANSPLANTATIONS

This retrospective study of 1,078 pediatric living donor liver transplants compared outcomes in infants ≤7kg versus larger recipients. Despite higher malnutrition, transfusion requirements, and portal vein complications in the low-weight cohort, long-term patient and graft survival rates were equivalent between groups.
