Impedance planimetry (EndoFLIP) assisted laparoscopic esophagomyotomy in pediatric population

Retrospective study of 10 pediatric achalasia patients found EndoFLIP-guided laparoscopic esophagomyotomy achieved 100% symptom resolution with significantly shorter operative time (97 vs 185 minutes) compared to traditional technique. Real-time impedance planimetry allowed objective assessment of myotomy adequacy via distensibility index measurements.
