Treatment optimization for recurrent hepatoblastoma: retrospective study from a hepatoblastoma cohort in Southern China

Retrospective analysis of 42 recurrent hepatoblastoma cases in Southern China identifies surgical resection or ablation as optimal treatment strategies. Patients with curable recurrent disease achieved similar progression-free survival outcomes as primary hepatoblastoma cases when treated with surgery or ablation, while chemotherapy regimen changes correlated with poorer outcomes.
