OHVIRA (Obstructed Hemivagina and Ipsilateral Renal Anomaly or Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome): Is it time for age-specific management?

This retrospective study of 28 OHVIRA patients proposes conservative management for asymptomatic pre-menarche cases with surgery deferred until menarche onset. Post-menarche patients uniformly presented with symptoms and underwent vaginal septal resection with good outcomes, though long-term monitoring for endometriosis and renal complications is essential.
