Surgical insights and management in patients with the 22q11.2 deletion syndrome

This retrospective study of 1,263 patients with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome identifies common surgical needs across the lifespan, with GERD and feeding difficulties being most prevalent. Gastrostomy tube placement, anorectal procedures, and hernia repairs were the most frequent interventions, highlighting the importance of coordinated surgical care in this complex patient population.
