Remote ischemic conditioning in necrotizing enterocolitis: study protocol of a multi-center phase II feasibility randomized controlled trial

Multi-center phase II trial evaluating remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) as a novel treatment for necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm neonates. The study will assess feasibility of recruiting 78 patients across 12 international centers and performing limb ischemia-reperfusion cycles within 24 hours of NEC diagnosis to inform a future efficacy trial.
