Advanced preoperative three-dimensional planning decreases the surgical complications of using large-for-size grafts in pediatric living donor liver transplantation

Study demonstrates that advanced 3D preoperative planning significantly reduces surgical complications when using large-for-size liver grafts (GRWR ≥4%) in pediatric living donor transplantation. Comparison of outcomes before and after implementing 3D printing and simulation modeling shows improved safety for recipients under 10 kg body weight.
