Cryoablation is associated with shorter length-of-stay and reduced opioid use after the Ravitch procedure

Retrospective study comparing intercostal nerve cryoablation to thoracic epidural analgesia in modified Ravitch pectus repair. Cryoablation group demonstrated significantly shorter hospital stay (2.8 vs 6 days) and reduced opioid requirements, suggesting improved pain control and faster recovery with this nerve ablation technique.
