Effects of Neonatal Thoracoscopic Surgery on Tissue Oxygenation: A Pilot Study on (Neuro-) Monitoring and Outcomes

Pilot study examining cerebral and renal tissue oxygenation during neonatal thoracoscopic repair of CDH and EA using NIRS monitoring. Despite severe intraoperative acidosis from CO2 pneumothorax, cerebral oxygen saturation remained stable and all evaluated patients showed normal neurodevelopment at 24 months.
