Infectious Complications of Intercostal Nerve Cryoablation Mediated by Perioperative Hypothermia During Pediatric Nuss Procedure

This retrospective study of 80 pediatric patients compares infectious complication rates following minimally invasive pectus excavatum repair with versus without intercostal nerve cryoablation. Despite cryoanalgesia causing lower PACU temperatures, no significant differences were found in wound infections, pneumonia rates, or length of stay between groups.
