Ileocolic intussusception in pediatric SARS-CoV-2 patients: experience at a tertiary pediatric center

Retrospective study of 24 COVID-19-positive pediatric patients evaluated for intussusception found 46% had abnormal ultrasounds, with ileocolic intussusception in 13% requiring surgical reduction after failed air enema. Enterocolitis was the most common finding (29%), suggesting heightened awareness for intussusception in COVID-19 patients is warranted given association with delayed presentation and failed reduction.
