Comparison of single-port, multi-port video-assisted thoracoscopic and open lobectomy for children: a single-center experience

Retrospective single-center study of 71 pediatric patients demonstrates that single-port VATS lobectomy achieves comparable outcomes to multi-port VATS while offering significant advantages over open lobectomy, including reduced blood loss, shorter drainage duration, and decreased hospital stay. Findings support SPVATS as a safe, feasible minimally invasive approach for pediatric lung resection.
