Urological Impact of Epididymo-orchitis in Patients with Anorectal Malformation: An ARM-Net Consortium Study

Multi-center study of 29 ARM patients demonstrates that epididymo-orchitis occurs predominantly in those with rectourinary fistulas (90%), with 69% experiencing recurrent episodes often associated with positive urine cultures and underlying urological anomalies including VUR and neurogenic bladder. Findings emphasize the need for comprehensive urological evaluation and collaborative management between pediatric surgeons and urologists in ARM patients.
