Delayed primary closure of bladder exstrophy without osteotomy: 12 year experience in a safe and gentle alternative to neonatal surgery

This 12-year retrospective study evaluates delayed primary closure of classic bladder exstrophy without pelvic osteotomy in 66 patients, challenging traditional neonatal surgical approaches. The technique demonstrates feasibility of closure at mean age 65 days with focus on reduced perioperative morbidity and pain management optimization.
