Is postoperative transanastomotic feeding beneficial in neonates with congenital duodenal obstruction?

Retrospective study of 100 neonates with congenital duodenal obstruction shows transanastomotic feeding tubes enable earlier enteral feeding, reduce parenteral nutrition duration by 2 days, and decrease central line placement compared to standard management. Benefits observed across patient demographics including those with Down syndrome.
