Researchers developed age-specific percentile cards for sacral ratio measurements in infants under 12 months to improve prognostic assessment of incontinence risk in children with anorectal malformations. The study of 360 patients found that while mean sacral ratio remains stable during the first year, pathological thresholds vary by age, suggesting percentile-based evaluation offers more clinical utility than fixed cutoff values.
