Clinical characteristics and outcomes of the right congenital diaphragmatic hernia compared to the left: a 10-year single-center experience

This 10-year retrospective study of 101 neonatal CDH cases found that right-sided defects required significantly more intensive interventions than left-sided, including higher rates of ECMO support, patch repair, and recurrence, with longer hospital stays. Despite increased treatment complexity, survival rates were comparable between sides, highlighting the need for tailored management strategies for right-sided CDH.
