Management of Intravascular Thrombus in Cases of Bilateral Wilms Tumor or Horseshoe Kidney

Retrospective study of 5 pediatric patients with bilateral Wilms tumor or horseshoe kidney Wilms tumor complicated by intravascular thrombus. Using 12 weeks of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and staged surgical approaches, nephron-sparing surgery with thrombectomy was successfully performed in all cases, with no patients requiring dialysis or transplant despite 3 developing stage II-III CKD.
