Anal canal duplication in children: a monocentric experience of 12 cases

This monocentric study reports 12 cases of anal canal duplication over 34 years, a rare congenital malformation presenting as a second perineal opening posterior to the anus. Half the patients had associated malformations, and all underwent surgical correction via posterior sagittal or perineal approach with favorable outcomes.
