Evaluation of Fecal Incontinence in Pediatric Functional Constipation: Clinical Utility of Anorectal and Colon Manometry

Study of 280 pediatric patients evaluates colonic and anorectal manometry in functional constipation with/without fecal incontinence. Colonic manometry predicted treatment response in constipation-only patients but not those with incontinence, while anorectal manometry showed no added diagnostic benefit in either group.
