Surgical outcomes and survival rates of colon cancer in children and young adults

National Cancer Database analysis of 531,462 colon cancer patients reveals that those ≤25 years present with more advanced disease and require more extensive surgery than older patients, yet demonstrate superior stage-matched 5-year survival rates. Age itself was not an independent mortality risk factor.
