Epidemiology and outcomes of primary pediatric lung malignancies: Updates from the SEER database

Analysis of 348 pediatric lung malignancy cases from SEER database (1975-2016) reveals neuroendocrine tumors as most common histology, with 75% presenting as local-regional disease. Median survival reaches 36.6 years, though blastoma and squamous cell histologies carry significantly higher mortality risk than neuroendocrine tumors.
