Emergency Presentations for Gastrostomy Complications Are Similar in Adults and Children

Retrospective study of 122 emergency department presentations across 70 gastrostomy tube patients (36 adults, 34 children) reveals similar complication patterns between age groups. Infections and mechanical issues predominate in both populations, though adults present more frequently with vomiting (23% vs 8%).
