Frozen-section examination in the management of paediatric testicular lesions

Frozen-section examination achieved 100% diagnostic accuracy in nine pediatric patients with testicular lesions, enabling testis-sparing surgery in 78% of cases. The study demonstrates FSE is a reliable intraoperative tool for distinguishing benign from malignant pathology in children, supporting organ preservation in appropriate cases.
