Ten Global Surgical Care Statements for Children: examining our commitment to the future

This review examines ten commitment statements from global pediatric surgical organizations addressing the crisis that nine in ten children in low- and middle-income countries lack access to basic surgical care. The statements advocate for recognizing childhood surgical disease as a global health priority and call for capacity building through education, workforce development, research, and international collaboration to reduce pediatric surgical disparities.
