Elevated proBNP levels are associated with disease severity, cardiac dysfunction, and mortality in Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

Study of 2,337 CDH patients demonstrates that elevated proBNP levels correlate with high-risk defects, ventricular dysfunction, and mortality. Patients with severe disease (Stage C/D) showed significantly higher proBNP than those with milder defects, supporting proBNP as a prognostic biomarker in CDH-associated cardiac dysfunction.
