Primary Contributors to Gastrostomy Tube Placement in Infants with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

Retrospective study of 114 CDH survivors identifies prenatal and postnatal predictors of gastrostomy tube need, including severe pulmonary hypoplasia (PPLV <21%), stomach position above diaphragm, ECMO requirement, and prolonged feeding intolerance. Early identification of these risk factors may optimize GT placement timing and reduce hospital length of stay.
