Three-dimensional visualization technique compared with magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography for evaluation of anatomic variants of pediatric congenital choledochal cysts

Comparative study demonstrating that 3D visualization from MRI data outperforms traditional MRCP for evaluating pediatric choledochal cysts, detecting anatomic variants in 65.7% vs 37.1% of cases. The 3D technique identified additional accessory ducts and biliary strictures missed by MRCP, providing superior spatial information for surgical planning.
